Deceiver

by Moonlight   Sep 7, 2012

You're nothing but a poison,
Nothing more than false dreams
luring others into deception,
Only to capture them in a spiral
of your most twisted emotions
that you aren't man enough to control

You manipulate the broken,
stealing their last bit of hope,
Wiping from existence any innocence
they had desperately clung to,
so you can watch as they plunge themselves
into the deepest of pits
that you dug with your own hands

You take what you can from their souls,
altering every one of their perceptions
as they slowly fall into submission,
believing you came to save them
when really, all you've done is turn them
into the very reflection of yourself

You're nothing but a merciless demon
who refuses to let go,
trampling on others with your self pity
seeking acceptance for your being
when it sickens you to even look in the mirror,
because you are nothing but a deceiver
who will never even accept himself
