Charon's coin

by Ole Carsten   Sep 5, 2012

I saw him walking across the beach
Entering the sea and swimming in the waves.
Without a word
only 80 meter out
I can't see him.
He is gone.
With Charon's coin in his mouth

Wow, this is an amazing poem. I haven't a clue what it's about though. My assumption would be of a man letting go. I don't know, overall I enjoyed reading though, keep up the nice work.

    That's a superb piece, Ole.

I knew it was about suicidal, but I wasn't sure of the 'coin' description ... is it a Denmark coin?

Anyway... I liked the whole scenery.

Yes it is about a suicied, by drowning him self, a horrible way for all, the person and the viewers and you loved him, but it is like that for some in Denmark, we have long shorelines

Sounds like you write about a person that accepted his end and decided to face it instead of running from it.

    Very well done
