This is a great collab
you said it then you aren't talking about a person it can be a feeling a place and I assume it is a place as it watches a war going on its land and it is losing hope bit by bit as its soldiers die before its eyes all in its dreams and memories yet it have hope that it will live on
and I must say I love that question u ended the poem with
I think u are talking about one of two things now
maybe an occupied land or a nation living in an occupied land
and I might be wrong who knows =)

Loved reading this. It is so disheartening and terribly sad through the entire piece. That being said it's so refreshing to see the glimmer of hope in the last stanza. Love the imagery, you two did a great job on this, keep writing.

Like Baby R said this is a very powerful write :-) very sad content but that last stanza....WOW! I like to see hope in a sad piece there is something about it thats stirs something within the reader...well in me anyways.
