A Love Poem Mashup

by Sweetdream   Sep 12, 2012

(From 8 of my favorite love poems, my thoughts re-examined and rearranged! It's a mashup folks!)

I know I could love her forever,
I could make that promise today,
It would be the truest love ever,
And it still wouldn't make it okay.

Because as the main character I don't even know...
Is our story narrated from above?
And is this even a story about love?

I've never been the luckiest girl,

Not even close,

I'm not the luckiest girl,
So here I am writing you this note.

Long I've been mistreated by hurtful souls,
Rolling with the punches and taking blows,
My inlaying fears are defiantly still there,
Due to living through one life long scare,
Yet my inhabitances are starting to unfreeze,
Till I met you I thought these unreal dreams,

I have come to understand the nature of love,
Not that I necessarily learned what it was.
But now that I have been enlightened,
I leap head first and am no longer frightened.

We may often be in opposition,
But like pieces of a puzzle,
Our differences make us fit together.
Your flaws are in balance with mine,
So in harmony our souls can combine,

New chance that can't be passed,
Victims of inaction,
Deceit; trend from your past
My love will forever last

I have long paid my due,
been made to feel so small,
Real feelings are so few,

If I could think of a rhyme,
And capture the divine...
Then you would be mine.

So I mashed-up my poems for you..
