Loneliness

by Angel Slain   Sep 13, 2012

To be able to talk to a listening ear,
about my loneliness

Would then suggest I wasn't actually alone

But loneliness is delicate

Only something distinctive and special
can relinquish that feeling of being lonely

No matter how much that listening ear
tries to invite me in from being alone outside

If it's not exactly what's needed
to remedy the heartache of loneliness

The door stays shut

And so, loneliness is a vicious circle

Created only by myself

I really liked this poem. Because it tells the truth. The wording was great and liked the structure of it. I gave it a 5/5
