Forget Me Not

by Helena Jaster   Sep 18, 2012

I won't be angry at you,
but do not assume that you got away clean.
I still have a part of you,
something you cannot take away.
The memories of you will be mine forever,
and you will never be able to get those from me.
One year of joyous memories that I can call on any time.
So even if our relationship may be dead,
you will in mind be mine, at least in part,
forever.
I will never hate you, but I will claim you.
No matter where you go,
or how far you have moved on.
Know this more than anything.
I have never forgotten you.
And in the theater of the mind you can still be mine.
