It's Always Like That

by Fulcrous   Sep 18, 2012

It's always like that; painful.
You walk frantically, following a single path
But when you feel as if you've forgotten something
And look back to see what it is
You'll see a pile of people
loved ones
You've left behind
So that you could walk that path.

Things so precious that you can never forget, nor throw away
But, you can not retrace your steps;
nor have the courage to stop walking
Just bare all your regrets,
Just bury all your lingering dreams

And though you might look back again and again,
you can only continue walking forward.
It's always like that.

    This piece is extremely sweet and very well written, the only thing i can suggest to keep in mind for the future is maybe you shouldn't capitalize the first letter of every single line, it really really detracts the reader from the main piece.
