The Monster

by Silent Rebellion   Sep 19, 2012

Innocence becomes the prey
As a monster descends upon the day
The glory of the previous light
Has been put down without a fight

Happiness has been swallowed whole
Thrown, beaten and battered, down a hole
Because the monster could not be confined
Darkness is destroying all of mankind

It hasn't spared a soul
But there's a prophecy on a scroll
Somewhere with the monks, hidden
Access to this place is forbidden

The prophecy says we will no longer hide
If our hope becomes worldwide
Hope and light go hand in hand
They will leave the monster banned
