Prayer of Knowledge

by Samuel Ernst   Sep 19, 2012

In the winds I here her call,
The change of Summer to Fall,
Leaves brown and pumpkins grow,
The wing beats of the crow,
Has mother turn to crone,
I seek knowledge not my own,
Let the waters cleans my soul,
So my motives be pure in my goal,
Has I am one with the God of the Sun,
Let me and my goal be one,
Here I call the rule of three,
Give me my answears, so mote it be.

Great write Sam! I love the continual flow throughout the poem, makes the poem so easy to read and follow.
    There are some spelling errors
    1. Hear instead of here in the first line
    2. Cleanse instead of cleans
    3. is has meant to be 'as' in
Has I am one with the God of the Sun,

Beside that I love the power and strength this poem portrays of one trying to find understanding from an external lens.
I find the ending of the poem so powerfully driven that you demand the answers and would do anything for it. I can link this to life and needing to find the answers that it never provides, life seems to be only made up of questions upon questions and when taking the journey through each day we need the knowledge that seems so far away. I love this write it is very captivating!
    well penned Sam!
