The Last Battle

He saw her standing there in the middle of the battlefield.
A little girl with long waving black hair softly moving in the wind and glistening in the burning sun, a serene white face untouched by age or anything else, wearing a white dress that was slowly waving in the little bit of wind there was, she had no shoes on but in her hair she did have a small white rose.

She just stood there still and not moving at all, it seemed like she was lost, totally unaware of everything that was happening around her, as if she didn't hear the loud screaming and feel the movement of the ground she was standing on by thousands of footsteps bouncing on it.

She didn't seem to see all the angry faces around her, hear the loud angry voices of all the men in battle. She didn't seem to see all the blood that was spilled, all the lives that were lost in this meaningless battle that never should have taken place.

She didn't get, that she was standing in the most dangerous place there was at this moment, but as by miracle she didn't get hurt.

He didn't understand how that could be, you could hear the swords clashing, screaming creeds of anger everywhere. People being killed, heads flying through the air, blood everywhere.

How could anyone just stand in that place and not get hurt or rater not die, she didn't even get one drop of blood one her.

He seemed obsessed by that beautiful little girl, how she just stood there and looked. She looked so lost, not getting where she was or what was happening around her. She was standing in the middle of the biggest battle in ages, yet it seemed she didn't see any danger in it.

He walked towards her, making his way through the fighting man, he didn't see what was happening around him anymore, he didn't hear the clashing of the swords, the screams, creeds or see the body's dropping. He just saw her, was torn to her as if under a spell, he dropped his sword and walked towards her.

When he stood in front of her and kneeled down, so he could look in her eyes, he was shocked by what he saw.

This he didn't expect. Her eyes were as dark blue as the deepest ocean. But there was so much sadness in her eyes and so much pain

He wondered what her story might be, how did she ended up here, in this godforsaken place.

But as he looked closer he saw strength in her eyes he had never seen before, he couldn't get how he could see so much in the eyes of this beautiful little girl.

Without saying a word she reached out for his hand and without even the slightest doubt he took it, a small white hand but extremely firm, a guiding hand. And he disappeared in her eyes.

There they were in the middle of that battle field, the little girl holding hands with the older man whose face was marked by many scares from all the battles he had been in and whose eyes didn't show any emotion anymore.

Suddenly he looked around. Where was he? Where did they go? He didn't know the place he was now; he didn't get how he got there.

One minute he was in the middle of the biggest battle in ages and now he was in a whole other place.
Silence all around him.

He looked at the girl she stood a bit further from him. She made a gesture that he should follow her.

Still trying to figure out what just happened he followed her, not knowing were this road would lead him.

I'm sorry this isn't a real poem its more like a short story I hope you like it anyway
