The Pianist

by Thomas   Oct 1, 2012

You're the piano
and I'm the pianist
We work so well together,
spending endless hours
with nothing but each other
Making sweet harmonious music
I always know what keys to hit,
to lift you to a higher level
And I make you moan and scream
all those different names
From Johan to Ludwig
from Ilyich to Wolfgang
Not stopping 'till the last note is uttered
But I must close the lid for now
cause tomorrow I must go back to school

Johan = S. Bach
Ludwig = van Beethoven
Ilyich = Tchaikovsky
Wolfgang = A. Mozart

    Thomas I loved this...I loved adding the names of pianist to this piece, and I find it weird that I knew all of them. haha!

    This is beautiful to compare you and a lover to a piano and pianist, colliding as one, making a melody like no other. Very Creative! :)

    This was great, the ending surprised me though... Going back to school to continue learning about music?

    But overall, keep this up too. And see you say you have inspiration.. You just prove yourself wrong :-) lol

    Let me tell you T, the title itself just made me want to read this poem. And since the piano is my favorite musical instrument I was sohappy to see it used metaphorically in a poem. Theindications and similes were spot on.

    And I also loved that you mentioned the names of those great musicians. It added just another element for me to love this piece even more.

    Very well written :)
