Battle with winter dreams

by Pamela   Oct 16, 2012

As I watch the blanket of the world
whirl around and beckon to me
I wait
I hold stead-fast against the
frost giants.

I hold my soul to the soles of my boots
I keep my heart burning with passion
I hold and wait.

In the meek gray of day I await.

In attack they wail the battle cry resonates
through my heart and rings past my
soul. Ages old, it calls all afoot to its beholder.

To the freezing death I take them. To the death I will fight.
