Standing My Ground
I'm growin old inside
to the public lonely thoughts i hide
to myself, i keep it true
staying young while losing youth that's life
a little slower that i used to be
soreness in my joint tend to stay with me
i go all night just to drag all day
i use to go to bed hungry
now i got money, can't save
i want a wife
not just a woman to play the role
i want to buy a diamond and mean it
make a vow, and keep it
but i can't wait for that to have a good night sleep
for that i pray for strength and where i stand, i practice peace
