Silence

by Harmony   Oct 23, 2012

Down the hall, another day
Holding back on the things she wants to say
A few more steps.... a few more to go
Trying so hard to not let her feelings show
Past the people, who laugh, point and stare
Wanting to ignore it, pretending not to care
Just when she thinks, it's all said and done
There had to be someone, there had to be one
Mr. Brave, decides to speak
She remains silent, she grows weak
He couldn't let her go this day,
Without letting loose what he wanted to say
As the words come out, he laughs in her face
He blames her for being in his path in the first place
Holding back tears, she doesn't say a word
These were things she has already heard.
Can't you see me? With the metal on your eyes
Would you like some pizza? How about some fries
Or how about you just go away, you're taking up too much space
My day has been ruined, by looking at your face
The tears fall down, she can't deny
He's done it once again, he made her cry
She picks up speed, as they laugh again
Longing to be happy, wishing for just one friend
The day goes on and she doesn't make a peep
She hopes she can at least pretend, to be happy while she sleeps
Don't say a word
Don't be heard
For all is good when no one seeks
All the pain, all the same
Silence is all she speaks
