I'M TAILOR MADE

by Jay Kamwetu   Oct 25, 2012

I am being designed by the most reputable tailor of all time,
At God and Son Limited and it won't cost me a dime.
Beautifully and wonderfully made; in His eyes
Salvation was the prize when I got baptized.

I am of the best suitable fabric; I am of His flesh and bone,
I was once in tatters, torn and alone,
Sent His only Son to come and mend me, now I am reborn,
All my blemishes are gone, as was said in the Gospel of John.

Equipped with the fruits of the Holy Spirit; I am fitted in the right measurements
I'm not perfect though, shaped in iniquity; inside I am filled with broken fragments,
Like the woman in Mark 5:25-34, I want to touch the hem of His garment,
And become healed right that moment.

Composed in a never ending fashion trend, I am a custom fit for Him.
I need not be altered, unless I'm confessing my sins at the altar.
So that I can follow the righteous path and not falter.

I am...created in His goodness and likeness
I am...still in the process of being changed
I am...on the way of being who I am but not what yet I shall be...
I am being tailor made.
