Instead your friends came first

I wanted to feel the love, and see the action behind it, but you couldnt give that to me

You see love come with more than just the phrase "i love you" Because behind every man's word their should be some action
I knew you wouldnt be perfect and I never expected you to be. I just wanted to love you and you love me
I never asked for much, just the simple things that money couldnt buy
But you had to much self pride and wouldnt understand even if i cried

I expected real love from you because I thought you were the one
The fact the you knew my past
I thought would help make a better future
But love can be blind- in fact love dont care who it hurts
when you expect something to be perfect
you get what that person is worth

I thank you for helping me find my self then, but the person I am now is much bigger than the love you shown
I didnt expect to be so low and our love to be so over grown
All I wanted was for you to stand beside me
for better or worse
but that was something hard for you
