I Am Pain

by MyHalozChokinMe   Nov 5, 2012

Anguish.

I am in the shadow of societies unkempt tree.

Hated.

Tossed inside a dumpster to decompose.

Forgotten.

Treated with an underlying contempt
that rots my insides.

I am raped.

Fruit flies are my only companions.

They buzz like vultures circling death, freshly
prepared on broken china.

Mold.

I am the vomit sprayed from the depths of despair;
So spoiled, the maggots are disgusted.

I am a racist remark.

I am a woman fighting for equality not only from typical male
machismo but also from my female peers.

I am black in the suburbs.

I am white in the ghetto.

I am the lost child who is searching for loving approval.

An orphan.

The psychotic rage that boils into hate.

Poverty.

Disrespected.

Singled-out because my mind thinks differently.

I am abused.

Burning inside.

Anger.

Vengeance.

Scorn.

In the end I am but only one thing-

I am pain.
