If you would let me love you...

by Chris Espy   Jun 30, 2004

This night I saw your beauty,
I bet you didn’t even know,
I was just sitting there,
And you began to glow.

I caught it from the corner of my eye,
An hour into the show,
A smile crossed your face,
I’m sure you didn’t know

My God, I can’t stand this
I felt my heart skip a beat,
Just a little taste, if only for a moment
Your sweet soft lips, I wished to embrace,

I saw your golden hair
As soft as silk, and twice as precious
Flowing in the air,
My desire to touch,
but how could I even dare,

My heart beating faster,
I’m sure you couldn't see,
As I pondered the feeling of your skin,
its warmth and invitation,
I could only hope to win

All of my thoughts, my words,
My feelings, I long for you to share
My hopes and dreams and wishes
I want to give to you, with care

In the reflection of your eyes,
Emerald Green and shining bright,
The desire of my heart…my love
If you only knew, this night

With Forbidden love between us
and consequences unknown
with a Friendship at risk,
my desire has only grown.

If you would let me love you,
just once, and satisfy this need,
to give you my heart, my love, and passion
and show you how I care
