Memories in an instant

by MrPurple   Nov 15, 2012

I was once young and in love,
and as I grew older, I grew distant.

Yet you appeared like an angel from above,
You had captured my heart in an instant.

Afraid and weary, I turned away,
An old heart, unready to take new calls

But I could not forget the way you'd sway.
Eventually found your way passed my walls.

You saw passed my mask and you smiled,
and before I could react, you took hold of my hand;

My walls crumbles, and my heart grew wild.
What did I do to deserve a love so grand?

But you held me close before I could doubt,
You knew exactly what I was thinking of,

You knew exactly who I was, and what I was about,
I was no longer young, but I was newly in love.
