Tears and Rain.

Tears and rain;

There she stands, quiet and still,
Soaked to the bones, she wears an empty gaze
Motionless; on her face, an invisible rill,
Left there alone, she dreams of better days

'I'm not crying' she sighs, 'it's just rain'
she hides her tears, and drops her eyes.
no longer able to cover up her pain.
Under the dark, dark skies, she stand and cries,

She cries for the words left unsaid,
for the promises left unkept,
her mind, overwhelmed by dread,
never before had she felt more inept.

Her tears flowed as her heart bled,
She cried, and cried, and cried some more,
Until she no longer had tears to shed,
for the storm, was no longer knocking at her door.

Love comes, and love goes,
and the path we take,
Isn't always the one we chose.
Sometimes it'll ache, sometimes it'll break.

But broken hearts mend,
and despite the chest pain,
In the absolute end,
It's all just tears and rain.
