Reflection

by MyHalozChokinMe   Nov 18, 2012

You look deranged, as if you are
questioning your own name.

All the pieces that seemed to fit,
just fell apart on the floor.

You can't pick them all up so
you cry a little more.

I see your rage yet you're so reserved and contained.

Instead of pointing the finger at someone
else, it's yourself you blame.

It's no wonder that you question if your
sane amidst lifes little twisted games.

I don't blame your bitterness.

You see, I've been here all along while
you've been trying so hard to ignore me.

You know I exist and that I am very real.

Without me there wouldn't be all
these emotions you feel.

Your so lost; I could help you
find your way but you're well aware
of the price you'd have to pay.

It's not too much, considering the
pain you already endure. If you'd
listen to me you wouldn't
have to worry anymore.

I've been here this whole time and although
small, I still own a compartment in your mind.

As always, I expect you'll turn and walk away.

Do what you think is right.

I'll keep those thoughts racing
through your mind at night.

Don't pretend to know yourself when you don't.

Who are you trying to fool?

I hear your cries, know your disguise.

Everything that you are, I've already seen.

Do I have to remind you?

That I'm always here-

Waiting to be triggered
every time you look
in the mirror.

Halo!! This has to be one of my favourites from you, I love it.

The way it is like a converstaion with yourself makes it a very great poem to read because we have all had these.

Your emotions right now are pretty mixed up and I can imagine they are very hard to deal with while still having to get through the day. This poem shows some of these thoughts.

I can relate to what you mean, about looking in the mirror, sometimes it can trigger certain things for us whether it be a look in our eyes, something we see in our expression or our appearance from the outside. It can kick start a thought process which leads to poems like these.

Loved this and all I can say is, I wish I could give you a mirror that reflected what we all see. xx
