Final Days of Fall

by HeavensBlueSea   Nov 21, 2012

Silent sun
its song sung

Still breeze
powered down

Crisp leaves
gracefully discarded

Barren branches
pierce autumn air

Birds reminisce
the grandeur of spring

Nature's pendulum
sweeps sparing one

Balance
with time

Haven't been reading nature pieces for a while. This makes me appreciate them again.

I love how you've cut this into smaller lines, the imagery is more impacting this way in my opinion. With so little words, this literally made me picture the last day of Fall - the sunrise, last leaves falling, birds singing, then it's Winter.

I see you've pointed the error with "sweeps sparing one." You could go to the 'Your poems' link then edit it. :)
