Nothing changes here except the leaves

by joseph santacruz   Nov 27, 2012

Bad luck can change if one believes?
I believe
nothing changes here except the leaves
Another night another dawn
another day filled with yawns
Dangers not a calling enticement
I sure do crave a little excitement
Its as boring here as a geometry test
I want to live! I want some zest!
Dont need treachery dont need violence
I cant stand this screaming silence(SSSHHH!)
A little hi-jinx a little whoring
standing in lines is much less boring.
I need a circus......to run away
nothing here not today
how about a crusade?
or a contest where I get paid?
No exotic trips to take
I have to fight to stay awake.
Id welcome drama or girly gossip
or back to prison? now thats a toss-up.
The cobwebs grow up in my attic
my radio is so full of static.
If life is precious a cakewalk
but my eyes always on the clock.
Its said calm waters do run deep
my pond is stagnant my river creeps.
Tears I shed of a tired clown
in this cranky sleepy town.
No sleazy scandals or ambitious cops
Im waiting for the other shoe to drop.
No mayhem chaos or fast lasses
they should have named this town molasses.
For action this towns a negative five
fingers on its pulse barely alive.
Hum-drum life is my assignment
its more swinging in solitary confinement.
QUIET PLEASE!I have regarded
my unused senses now feel retarded.
This is the laziest place I know
I sit around and watch my fingernails grow!
(wake up slacker! I am not sleeping just resting my eyes)
