Signs

The sign in the window
"signs made while U wait"
waiting fifty years
waiting I hate
Promises of paradise tease us
waiting for a ride with my friend Jesus
(sure to please us)
I looked to ancestor Aztecs for advice
required to much of a sacrifice.
Prince. Elvis. Madonna.
a teensy weensy itty bitty sign
is all I wanna'
(even tried religiously smoking marijuana)
I thought my ex was an angel....she wasnt
she counted but as a sign she dosent.
seems every sign of faith be leavin'
Please pretty please a little something to believe in.
worshipping the sun, bronze sun god the answer?
to bad the question was skin cancer.
Wolves in sheeps clothing, false "idles" and faux Buddhas
odd birds of "pray", mis-represenatives and hungry barracudas.
not always right but I walked the mile
must I be the unsure whipping boy so others may smile?
I wonder if all the forbidden fruits I sampled
left my spirituallity permanently trampled.
A few kicks was all I had planned
must I suffer eternally like the damned?
Drink gallons of holy water, anything you see
GOD give me a little sign like winning the lottery.
