Cleansing the soul By Fiona Anderson August 11th 2012

by fiona anderson   Dec 12, 2012

Wasted years
behind the mask -
Truthfulness lost
alone in the dark

Conformity forced
expected -
then believed
Living a lie
your own soul - deceived

Sunrise it comes
- bright and blinding
Do you step outside?
begin the unwinding?

A hard road to travel
so many years dark
But a poignant renewal of what was once lost

Forget all the critics
forget what they said
Move on and be you
Or you may as well be dead
