Its not my fault these tears I cry,
Maybe if you had held me,
I wouldn't cry,
Maybe if you had of been here and NOT there,
I would know how much you care,
But that is a fantasy I see it now,
Silly little dreams of a girl,
Who thought princes were real,
I wish I knew it wasn't true,
For then I wouldn't let myself fall,
I believed promises were always kept,
I see now through the tears Iv'e wept,
That promises are merely lies,
Acceptable to be spoken,
For each time one is made it's surely broken,
And like lies someones heart will be broken,
All i ask is to be wanted with compassion,
Understanding and Faithfulness,
Is that too much to ask?
I guess so,
Because its always me you choose to pass,
So maybe if you had listened to me,
Then lying here in bed,
For then i wouldn't feel like were million miles apart...
