Letter To God

by Ibe   Jan 5, 2013

Dear God,
How have you been?
I have misssed you alot.
It seems like ages since we last spoke,
And I know it's my fault
Cause I'm self centered and weak.
I'm very sorry.
I also apologise
it's mostly when I'm in need I run to you.It ought not to be
for you are important in my heart
and I've no justification for eluding you.
Please forgive me!

Dear Daddy, I need you now,
Now more than ever.
I'm in pain
Not physical but mental and spiritual.
I'm also lost and very sad.
Like being in the dark
And sinking where I stand.
I need your light and your hand
Your shoulder would be nice for my tears
And your words for my bleeding heart.

I'm sorry for neglecting you for this long and I'm deeply sorry.

I need you Lord
And won't stop calling for you until you hear and answer me.
Solitude has been my only friend
And its running me to the edge.

So what's it going to be?

I knocking at you door
Every morning, afternoon and night
Every second of every minute
Every Twenty-four hours of every week
Every month of the year
For the rest of my life.

Or

I come meet you
And we talk face to face now!

Please come to my aide Daddy
I'm lost without you

Yours Foever.

Appropriate title since it is like a letter written to God. Heartfelt because it came from your heart directed to the Most High. The first stanza was a very good opening. As I read the 2nd stanza I was turned off by the addressing of God as Daddy. I would have liked to have seen you use "Father" here instead. Still the stanza was real good but the word Daddy just felt wrong.

    Still a nice piece.

    He is always there.

He is always there for us when we need him and even when he don't. Who are we for Him to be in our presence? or for Him to show us His face?

However, he always hear us and listens to us. We just have to believe and have faith in Him.

A Good write, it makes the reader think that one usually seeks the lord when we need him, instead of every day.
