Comments : Things about her

Wow, Karla. This was incredibly provoking in my mind. That last line hit me, is the man the wolf who had taken her down, preyed on her? Was she physically/emotionally abused? Belittled? Was she raped? I thought one part to be really interesting, and not what I was expecting- when you said she doesn't see herself as a victim because she is an unafraid kind of woman- to trudge on, no matter how raw she may still feel from it. Then, the "she buried between her legs and sleeps with one eye open, but she doesn't complain" hurts my heart, is she alone in this struggle? She certainly has inner strength but I still feel she's hiding this within her and is just waiting for someone in life to finally tell.....this woman is learning who she is again and trusting herself- no longer hating herself for what her story has been - her past.

Great read, you really have the reader see this woman's reality. It read with honesty and told a story which is something that always gets me thinking... Also, thank you for reading my latest poems and for the comments, that was really sweet :]

    The wolf is half-dead now.

^^^^The wolf inside the woman...the darker part of herself?

    I'm racking my brain lol

But I think maybe the wolf is
    A braver more darker part?

    Very creative Karla

    Love it!

    Awesomeness pours from your stanzas.
Love the wolf reference, I like how it is getting everybody guessing.

Might as well try and guess as well,
Is she no longer such a creature of the night?
Is she now so settled in her own skin, turning over a new leaf maybe?

For some reason I am reading the whole thing as prostitution.

    Great piece.
