Poetic Thoughts

This is something far removed from my reality
Not something that I asked for but it found its way to me
I'm not afraid to go to places no-one's been before
If there are new experiences I'm eager to explore

Exploring love's a passion be it dark or be it light
And never more exciting when like minded thoughts unite
It only takes a single thought to bring you to my mind
A time without a thought of you is very hard to find

I take that thought, and lock it in, and suddenly you're here
Your essence overpowers, sweetly whispers in my ear
So lost inside this moment with no care for space or time
Imagination takes control and willingly I climb

Emotional tranquillity or overpowering lust
The choice of which goes either way, and go with it I must
Imagination rules my world when I am in this zone
The beauty of it is I'm never in my mind alone

It only takes a single thought and you are in my mind
Moments without a thought of you are very hard to find
Those special moments are exactly where I want to be
With you inside the shadow of my surreality
