A wise man once told me a million times
That friendship is something
That holds and that binds
This whole world together with more than just lies

A wise man once told me
Just once in my life
That love is just something
That ties using lies

And then he left me
Alone completely
He left me to think
And think I sure did

He came back one day
With tears in his eyes
And told me just once
On the day that he died

I loved that old man
And still trust him completely
So now that I know this
I hope that he'll miss me
