Simplicity

by joseph santacruz   Feb 14, 2013

I realize enquiring minds want to know
But Im under the radar on the down low.
I have no need for recognition fame or power
Im riding with my saddled name "Mr. Wallflower"
Heres my answer to all you nosy nellies
dont look my way if your looking for pallies.
About bright lights and paparazzi
I pass on agravatted scandolous drama I want simplicity.
Dont label me stuck up or a snob
I havent the mentality of a mob.
My name? friendly (?) intentions meant
M.y.o.b......anonymous, occupant or resident.
I guess my anti social outlook may cause me some pain
like not being able to use the carpool lane.
I have no desire to make my mark
and when it comes to the limelight keep me in the dark.
If your feeling chatty please miss me with the phone
The more I know people the more I like alone.
If you have the burning desire my name to know
please forget me as John Doe.
I came into this world alone, kicking and crying
To remain alone is all Im trying
(quit your crying!)
No need for matchmaking or blind date arrangers
I prefer to keep our arrangement as complete strangers.
I run with a small crowd..me, myself and I only
I am alone but never really lonely.
Im living among the shadows, a hermit with no identity
when Im alone I find my serenity.
Dont feel rejected or throw a tizzy fit
when Im by myself I neednt co-sign anyones bull$hit.
No ones got my back?by myself. Get a life
Those blanks will be filled in when I find my wife(where in the hell are you woman?)
When Im alone I can still dance
I have no need for a "Bromance"
If I ever get lonely and need someone around
I can always find a friend at the dog pound.

This little bit of nonsense
Inspired by living on skid row in los angeles where every smiling face seems to have an ulterior motive.
