Cardinal's Song

by Daylight Lucidity   Feb 15, 2013

You, my dearest love, are the wind beneath my fragile wings
Lifting me higher and higher when I fall upon my knees
I sway while I listen to the cardinals sing
And we sit and watch the moon and stars under weeping willow trees
The tears that fall from my blue eyes are those of love
Of love so untainted and pure
That I shall never get enough
Of you, sweetest and greatest, angel.
Destined we are to fly amongst the stars
Just as we planned so long ago,
You are the only one within my heart
And our eternal companionship is so unbelievably close...
I whisper my proposal on the day of St. Valentine
My love is all and only for you
I offer you a ring, a glistening and beautiful diamond
And wish that you shall forever be my wife
Along with accepting these words that ring nothing but true
And to start with me a glorious life
Where we are the only ones
Amongst the Cardinal's Song.

For an incredible person... I have yet to tell you how much I do love you.
