My Love in Ebony

by Daylight Lucidity   Feb 17, 2013

Darkest, deepest, most beautiful night
My love lives within you
Oh how his memory shows me the most glorious light
And I dream of his love so true.
He appears to me in the daylight
And wraps me in his arms
He fades away into your ebony embrace at night
And I feel he's worlds apart...
I sit and ponder at our love,
I beg for you to give him back,
You, sir moon, stare and murmur "enough"
And turn your eyes upon him, my heart intact.
I speak my mind, I pour out my soul
He is the only man for me
And, darkest, deepest, night, I grow cold
Please, he is the only warmth I have left to keep.
Darkest, deepest, most beautiful night
My love lives within you
I ask for you to send him back into my sights,
My heart is lost with him, without it, my soul I will, too, lose.

Oh glass heart! Drag me across the Aegean and bury me with all the lost souls so I can show them the way to their love. This piece touched my heart. I know the feeling when the night brings your loved one back (alive or not) for a few hours. Really id live in darkness forever if I could be with my love. Great poem
