Bittersweet Nightmare

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 1, 2013

You visit me
And I fade into unconsciousness
Where I then scream out in long suppressed agony
As the wound you left, which is my broken heart, starts to weep again.
Dreams become screams
And now you, too, have changed
Into a bittersweet nightmare.
Beautiful yet malicious
That's how you appeared
When you walked away
When I needed you here.
But you helped me
Find myself once again
But you hurt me severely
In the process.
I forgive you
For all the things that you do
But how can I still love you,
Dream of you,
Want you,
After all you've put me through?
You cloud my judgment
As I gaze upon thee
And now all I see
Is the face of a majesty
Of which controls my mind.
Seductfully, you seep into my dreams
As you create a dark yet majestic fantasy.
As I drift off
Into a hopefully dreamless sleep
You visit me
And I fade into unconsciousness
Where I then scream out in long suppressed agony
As the wound you left, which is my broken heart, starts to weep again.
Dreams become screams
And now you, too, have changed
Into a bittersweet nightmare.
