Judgemental Father

by Jay Colon   Mar 7, 2013

You're my father but yet you judge me.
From my appearance.
Being a lesbian.
Who struggles finding a job.
Demons within myself.
The way you see me like I'm no good.
As if I'm a low life.
Like I have nothing to live for.
Like I am nobody.
More importantly like I am NOT your daughter.
You are my father but yet you judge me.
For what people say because what you hear.
The little respect you have for me; even women.
You believe that we live in a man's world.
You favorite.
What because I go at my own pace?
I can only be me.
Life is hard itself but yet you are my father who judges me.
