When Silence Speaks...

by PiggyPie   Mar 9, 2013

Your silence screams unspoken words that only I can hark
Bright flames of the past extinguished, the present seems so dark
Your lack of voice, words and speech are much too pain to bear
Day after day, night after night; do you sincerely not care?

Your silence penetrates so deep within, the deepest wounds seem shallow
It pierces sharper than the sharpest tool; I bleed dry on life's gallows
Your lack of passion and purpose of life alarm me to no end
Gone is the trust, broken all ties; it is beyond any mend

Your silence rings clear and loud, like a warning in disguise
Enough of betrayal, those secrets and tales; enough of all those lies
Your lack of consideration, feelings and emotion numbs my mind from fear
I cannot help but think this way: is the end all that near?

I refuse to lose hope, I refuse to give in
This unjust suffering! Oh, for what sin?
I'm clinging onto hope, though the future seems bleak
My thoughts will be heard and I shall speak
For it's time to divorce fear, stand brave and tall
Tomorrow I'll rise again, albeit just to fall
I refuse to give up, though my efforts may be in vain
Tomorrow I'll wake once more, albeit just to die again
I'm in this for real, and I will incessantly try
Tomorrow I'll smile once again, albeit just to cry
