Too close?

by tainted melody   Mar 12, 2013

When do we cross the line,
of drawing much to close?
When ties become unbreakable,
and words can hurt the most?

Friends can carry us in times of trial,
or lift us from the ground.
But they can also put us there,
with a comment or a sound.

When do you know too much,
about another person?
When they just speak their mind,
and situations worsen?

We should never lose that filter,
with anyone at all.
It's serves as a protection,
so we leap and never fall.

Wow. This poem is extremely good. :). I loved how you described a friendship and how no matter how close we are with a person and can speak our mind around them we should always consider their feelings and our speech should be seasoned with salt no matter who it is. Very good rhyming and flow in this poem. I loved it! :)
