If Walls Could Talk...

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 13, 2013

If walls could talk, they'd whisper the secret of us
If walls could talk, they'd scream the way we did
While we loved the others body, gave the other our trust
While I pulled your hair, and you pulled mine, the way lovers would.

If walls could talk, they'd murmur that our love was pure
If walls could talk, they'd shout in ecstasy like we had
While people wondered happened behind closed doors
But, because they don't, we are glad.

If walls could talk, they'd say I love you more
If walls could talk, they'd explain you're my soul mate
Even if others frown upon who we are
I love you no matter what, you're my life, I will always ignore their hate.

If walls could talk, they'd tell everyone of our love
If walls could talk, they'd giggle and smile with adoration in their eyes
Whispering that we're meant to be, that we can never get enough,
Just like we say to each other all the time.

Great poem!I liked your lines! The repetitions make stonger the feelings.
    Well written!
