Severed Wings

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 19, 2013

My wings, you severed them
tool the blade to forever condemn.
Chains, I'm lost amongst their gleam
bound to the ground with a silent scream.
Tears, tinged red seep down my face
as if a fountain, it bleeds the shame.
Fire, it blazes within the depths of my soul
my innocence, my love, my world, from which you stole.
Captured, no light seeps into my mind
forever entombed in darkness, I will be confined.
Dark angel, this I can no longer be called
slashed from the name by your blade, poisoned by snakes.
My soul, will for all eternity scald.
