Appearances

by joseph santacruz   Mar 28, 2013

For you.....for us
I try my hand at things formal
tuxedos are for pengiuns-so stiff and abnormal.
cold mannequin in my life where belongs a hot lover
spent to much time judging books by their cover.
So heres a tip you might not know
wear what suits you lifes no fashion show.
To impress the posers you can only hope
and live your life as a germ under a microscope.
Im not eating a sour lemon already bit in
I have to be me- get in where I fit in.
I cant remember all the do's and do nots
a house broken leopard cannot change his spots.
Dress to impress, forced etiquette in vain
matters as much as a fart in a hurricane.
Why appearances matter to you who knows
makes me feel like the yes man in the emperors new clothes.
In my mouth I wear a cork
while you lose sleep wondering if you used the right fork.
