Depending on a Child

by Little Sister   Mar 31, 2013

You put all your debt on me
You said money doesn't grow on trees
I was barely thirteen
Before the weight of the family was on me

I couldn't do anything about it
I was a kid
Why you told me
Just another thing I had over my head

Depending on a child
That's so mature of you
School is enough
But I guess that wasn't true

You talk about my mom
Like I could handle it
I'm not as strong a everyone thinks
On the inside, I'm just a kid
