Patriotism

by Ashraf Al Deen   Apr 2, 2013

It's my fourth trip to London within about nine years,
I like the City as it's now and its fabulous past;
I cherish the history of London blended with
The Britons, the Romans and the Germans.
I like its museums, the art galleries, the underground
And off course shady, clean, moist neighborhoods.
So many types of people in London, I wonder,
It's a human museum, one may rightly call it,
This City is maintaining so dearly with utmost care.
Irrespective of colour, race and religion people
From around the world came here to be Londoners;
And yet they all feel much more about the country
They came from: grumble and repent very dearly,
Oh patriotism!
