Fire

by Ashraf Al Deen   Apr 30, 2020

I was thinking about the #wildfire that swallowed
the forests in Australia!
With the #hellfire let loose it was too fast
to jump from one forest to the other,!
The fire was burning the forest and everything in there!
The green was burning and
all the live animals, birds, insects were burning!

I felt the pain of burning seeing a kangaroo
with its body half burned running across the woods
not knowing where to go!
I saw the burnt face of a baby Koala and
I suffered myself from helplessness!

That day a priest was talking about the Hellfire.
It was so severe and terrific I thought
my this tiny body will turn into ashes within no time!
#Fire can be so powerful, if I could imagine!

Last few days running away from Coronavirus
getting locked down with my family,
I am at home and in a terrible shape!
No stock of food at home, hungry and I am now
feeling the #fire inside my stomach!

I never had any surplus though, fortunately
I never had to starve not even for a single day!
Now I have understood what hunger is like.
My stomach is burning from another kind of #wildfire,
I can't escape!

I can't go and beg for food out there, because
I never learnt how to beg!
But the burning is pushing me beyond all limits!
Can anyone teach me:
How to beg mercy from Fire?
