With the drop upon the quill's nib
For the last tear drop which still
Lingers on her cheek
Such a flower's petal
And to this I count all hope
That this love can be real
That it can be whole
That it can be breathing
That it can come into it's own sweet existence one day
But what of it's demise
And what of a life enlaced merely with pretty facades
upon lips
But for a living soul's end
And apart from such an entity could I ever trace myself?
Wherefore could I ever dare to find myself lost in the vacant expanse that is
The shadow of love
Dearest friend
How you both grieve me
And irrevocably hold the thoughts and possession of my heart
Is there no isle for us?
Is there no place of escape for our souls' deep wanderings
Yet far be it from me to escape these plaguing realities
But To fall
Deep in the heart of this wood
And forever bask in it's beauty
And warm embrace
If it could be
