Country Cabin

by Daylight Lucidity   Apr 27, 2013

I remember that one special and unforgettable weekend
The one where our bodies, our souls, merged to become one
Within that special little country cabin; the forest so freeing
Underneath the blaring yellow sun.
I will never forget when you took my hand and led me over the threshold
To unlock our love's journey
While we walked into a home- our home- so beautiful and unbelievable
That housed an unspoken passion that was in the back of our minds, simmering,
As we danced and twirled through the cabin's wooden attributes
As were embraced the scents of roses and lavender
As the friendly and playful breeze sent us the aromas from the garden outside, a lovely contribute
To an already heavenly atmosphere.
The stone wall of the fireplace, if it could talk, would whisper secrets
Of the love that was made those nights before the crackling fire
While scents of old and untainted nature enveloped us in our weakness
For the other's companionship, for our love that could never tire.
This country cabin, the one we so adore as we reminisce of those nights,
Holds the very foundation of the life we built together
As we were shrouded in the most delicate lights
As they peered through the paneled windows; as if mother nature knew, she gave us beautiful weather
So as we adventured within the surrounding forest
We could revel in her overwhelming perfection
And see her embodied so completely flawless
And where we could sing with our affection.
I will never, could never, forget
A babbling brook welcomed our coming to the cabin
It talked and laughed as we loved without a regret,
Flying free like a little, and beautiful, robin
Like the one we found within the home
Forever stamping itself into our memories
As we live together, a life founded within the house's charm
And a love cherished more with each anniversary
Of our weekend at the country cabin.
