A preference for the night or darkness.

the first part described the darkness so well, the second part shows how those creatures prefer the night that they finally come out.

This is lovely Hannah....you set the scene so very well in the first stanza...dark, still and silent although...there would be that eirie lighting from the lamp posts to set the stage.

Second stanza..you elaborate more with the mention of the cloud whispering pathways...perfect for nocternal creatures to feel safe enough to come scavenging!

This reminded me of the foxes that live in the domestic parts of Glasgow...they've moved nearer the suburbs and go through the bins at night...and the braver ones...during the day also haha!!!

That's my type of scenery! Great imagery and narration of the creatures of the night coming out to play, peacefully :)

Here I believe the title is the strongest part because it ties into the poem very.very well. I think here you are saying that there is a whole new world between night and day. I loved the imagery actually probably more than most because I can see a character going on a night walk or sharing an experience they know about. The word incense I believe works well here because I think at night nature is more lingering. You can hear and smell a lot more. I loved how you say nature as it'sown scent. It really does bbecause nature has it's own little world. Also loved the use of the word peacefully because it keeps with the calm tone through out the whole poem. The tone is great and though it is a short piece you make a strong impact and describe what a lot of people don't know. That nature can be fully alive. :) beautiful
