Monsters

by Maydee   May 17, 2013

When you're little the monsters are under your bed.
Just laying there at night messing with your head.
Making you want your Mom and Dad to comfort you.
Holding you close is all they could really do.

Their warm embrace realxing you to sleep.
If the monsters are bad enough you being to weep.
Screaming for relief of the terror you live with.
Of these creatures that turn out only to be a myth.

As you grow older you begin to see.
There are no monsters to come after me.
You never really quite knew why.
These imaginary creatures made you cry.

What you didn't realize all those years ago.
Is what your personality actually shows.
We can all prove this to be true.
All those monsters are actually inside of you.
