Destination: Straight Jacket - III

by You Can Speak But I Can Rhyme   May 19, 2013

So here I am - now where was I?
If I'm speaking the truth then what's the lie?
You see - that mirror everyday you see
It lies to you but you ask not why?
Shows not what you are but what you wanna be!
Now what are you is the question to ask!
It's time to let go of the frigging mask
It's time to repent, not gloat or bask
Just look inside - not an easy task!

Where fathers sell their daughters for just a dime,
For a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine.
Where dogs are better humans than men,
Where abuse and profanity define your Zen,
Where thinking of welfare is well feared,
Where nepotism and flattery are endeared,
Where a dying morality digs its own grave,
Where loyalty and labour make you a slave,
Where love is a dream of kittens and male hens,
Where insanity is sanity's only defense.

Homeless, hungry, weak and diseased,
Deprived, destitute, with souls deceased,
It's better to live in the embrace of insanity
Than among the throngs of remorseless humanity,
Ignore Life like a warning on a cigarette packet -
Finally I am home - Destination Straightjacket!!
