Spider Web

by blindlover   Jun 7, 2013

Caught in a spider web,
wrapped around thoughts
that are sucking the life out of me.

Flattered by your fascination,
wondering how your touch would make me feel,
and knowing it wouldn't be right
amplifies my desire.

All my life
I've simply wanted an object to crave,
never thinking you would be my obsession.

Fairytales don't always have a happy ending
but sometimes hate isn't enough
to burn the memories to ashes.

I'm running to the edge of the world,
hoping to see a new beginning
rise behind the sun.

The Ora around my soul
is your captivating light
its possible that everything I had
is all I'll ever want.

I read this once and went "whoa" and just had to go back a couple more times. It's as if you've captured my thoughts. An amazing write and the second stanza tore at my heart.

    "Flattered by your fascination,
wondering how your touch would make me feel,
and knowing it wouldn't be right
    amplifies my desire. "

Perhaps read at a time when I know a path I was contemplating would be wrong for me.

    Thanks for your unknowing assistance.
