October Leaves Me Pondering Forbidden Desires.

by blindlover   Oct 26, 2013

I found you, and
a strange feeling
found my heart.

My stomach was
fluttering, my eyes,
damp- I was lost,
I had forgotten
how to breathe.

Softly crying in my
ears, the lyrics kept
singing of heart break.

My mind, screaming
to just forget. My
heart, begging to
have faith. My soul,
crying from humility.

I'm lost, dreaming
the impossible
disengaged from all
that surrounds me.

I laugh as the tears
reach my chin- wary
of the knight that
chases my sleep away.

I found you, and
that familiar feeling
captured my heart.

His eyes, were deeper
than the ocean floor.
I was eager to dive right in,
in search of the buried
treasure resting in his
heart.

His corky smile, brighter
than the sun- blinds me
and all I see are his arms
waiting for my return.

The beat starts to skip,
the pain is still lingering.
The numbness begins.

Deep down, my heart
has become too dark to
care.

At least that's the lie I'm
forced to believe. He
isn't real.
